Spicy Sausage Burgers
These burgers can really pack some heat depending on how spicy your choice of pork sausages is. Adding pork to the usual ground beef recipe really gives these burgers another dimension.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound of spicy pork sausages
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 1 minced glove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 roasted red bell pepper (store-bought)
- bread of your choice to serve
Method:
- Open up the sausage casings with a knife to get to the meat and combine well with the ground beef in a bowl. Add the garlic, onion, parsley and seasoning and mix.
- Form into 4 patties with your hands and cook on a preheated grill for 5 minutes each side or until the meat is cooked. Top the burgers with the cheese and a quarter or the roasted bell pepper.
